Inside the MRC works engine no D182 is obviously undergoing a major repair! A view from Swanwick Junction station with the lines to the shed, works and the Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust shed and works off to the left
No doubt as to where we were here! On our way to see 46203 which was the only engine present the Duchess of Sutherland and the two tank engines were all out.
BR Class 9F 92219 looking rather sorry for itself.  It was built in 1960 & withdrawn in September 1965. After only six and a half years in service!  More pictures of engines at Woodham's scrap yard in 1983 are available on the link. Hmm! Interesting looking boiler, firebox, and smokebox this!  Complete with old LMS number plate before nationalisation? And now you know as much about this piece of history as I do!  Any further information will be gratefully received, put on this web page, and acknowledged appropriately.
