For anyone going ot visit the KWVR a visit to the museum at Ingrow (West) is a
must. Unfortunately though its not a good place for taking photographs, so
this is the best shot I could get of Stainier 8F 2-8-0 48331. I wasn't
aware that any of them were allocated to 81A Old Oak Common, but if you have any
information about it please let me know. |
Again inside the Ingrow

takes water on at Keighley before departing for Oxenhope. For an excellent
set of photographs of other engines and scenes visit

Pannier Tank Engine 0-6-0 No 118 named 'Brussels' from the Longmoor Military
Railway. I'm not sure if it's named after the capital of Belgium or a
winter vegetable! |

Sir William Stanier's LMS Jubilee 4-6-0 45596 Bahamas. For more information on
the engine visit Simon
Robinson's site. The site provides information on all the 191

GWR 0-6-0 Pannier Tank Engine No 5775 in the ubiquitous 'Thomas the Tank Engine'
disguise. |

On
the left LMS 'Jinty' 47279 sits quietly on it's arrival at Oxenhope and is
admired by the bystanders. According to the
UK Rail Website in 1948 the Jinty
was based at Wellingborough Motive Power Depot (Code 15A) Bet it was still
there when I started to visit in about 1956!
