Stainier 5MT Mogul 2-6-0 No 42968 on a rest day! These engines were
frequently used for fast freight in my younger train spotting days. Seeing
one on a day to day basis though was the exception rather than the rule. Link to:- Stainier Mogul 42968 Web Pages |
The scene over the engine shed. The tender on the left belongs to 48773 whilst the rebuilt Bullied Pacific in the centre background is West Country Class No 34045 Ottery St Mary. Behind the diesel in the foreground which you can just see the tender and cab top could be GWR 7820 Odney Manor. |

| A fine and very smart looking rake of wooden LNER coaches made an interesting site on a former GWR railway! | Kidderminster station frontage, which looks the same as it would have when it was built. Except, of course, for the yellow hatching on the road, the 'No Entry' sign, and the lack of horse drawn transport |

| The SVR has an excellent Museum at Kidderminster Station, but even I was surprised to find a nameplate on their wall from the closed Forgandenny Station near Perth. | Sign in the SVR gents toilet! If anyone doesn't know what it means you can e-mail me for an explanation! |
